Happenings this week :D

on Friday, July 27, 2012
Wow, it has been more than a week. Have you read about our trip to the reddot museum and the new cheongsam display?
The Cheongsam designer is coming this week to meet customers who had arrange an appointment with us at MSC Studio, have you book your appointment? If not, you should hurry and book it now. She will let your know the type of designs you should use, answer your enquiries, do measurement for you to ensure that the cheongsam she custom make fits you nicely.

We had two trainings within the week, one is navigating to adulthood, another is customer service.

The trainer for navigating to adulthood told us what is success about, what do we think and how to be success. Do you think working hard will lead you to success? Personally we think that at the same time, we should also work smart, if not the effort of working hard will go into waste.

Another training is customer service, our supervisor gave us a talk on that topic. He was fun, the teaching method he use can make us stay awake and keep thinking about his question so we can answer him. Thinking back, do you expect more than you get from servicer or get lesser from them? we shouldn't expect to much because if you expect lesser, the disappointment you get will be lesser or it might even satisfy you in some way.
See YOU next week :)

It’s another week, how are you?

Do you know we have a new window display that is a Cheongsam theme? Take a look there if you are passing

and meet up with the designer. It was another type of feel as the cheongsam are design in a classic modern
pattern. Not forgetting the knot on the neck or cloth, they are specially made using the cloth of the cheongsam too.

Do you have a thought of customizing a cheongsam now? Arrange an appointment with us, don't miss this chance. Contact us at 6550 1199 to make your appointment.

Next is our Red dot museum trip, there are many entrepreneurs were there to sell their handmade accessories,

Asia. Here, you will see a collection of more than 1,000 exhibits and every exhibit is a winner of the international red dot design award, one of the world’s leading and largest design competitions. In the museum, you will find award winning designs in the field of product design and communication design from over 55 countries. The Faceshop Training

on Wednesday, July 11, 2012
On 6th of July, we had made a trip down to The Face Shop for training at Kallang. WOW, the trainer teach us lots of things that we will never had a chance to learn it outside such as the types of products and their usage.

We were being taught the basic steps of cleansing, they are categorized into morning and evening steps. Products used in morning skin care may not be needed to be use in evening skin care cleansing steps, we are going to let you know what you should do to maintain your perfect skin.
6 Steps for Morning Skin Care:
First we have to use the cleansing cream/oil/lotion (base on your skin type), next you will need a Toner to close the pores and soften the skin. Thereafter, you will need to use the Eye Cream(Serum) and Essence(Serum) this is to provide hydration and prevent wrinkles. Not only protecting eyes, you will have to use the Emulsion also known as moisturiser, that will provide moisture on your face and creates a protective barrier. Last but not least, we will need to apply the Sun Protector.

DO YOU KNOW: SPF 1 only protects you from the sun ray for about 10 - 15 minutes therefore different  SPF can protect us under the sun for different number of hours. Hence choose the right one for yourselves.

7 Steps for Evening Skin Care:
First we have to use the cleansing cream/oil/lotion (base on your skin type), next the Toner. After the toner, put up a mask to let your skin absorb the maximum amount of water molecules. Thereafter, you will need to use the Eye Cream(Serum) and Essence(Serum). Last but not least, apply special care cream or night cream that is highly concentrated which will help to rejuvenate the skin and let us look younger and fresher the next morning.

Another Tips for you:
1) The shelf life for most of the skin care products / lip care / cleanser / mask pack is 3 years before opening.
2) Store all your products in a cooling area [bathroom is not an ideal place]
3) Ensure water does not enter the products [WHY? because the PH level is different]
4) Ensure the lid is tightly closed
5) Wipe off and remove the residue around the spouts [to keep bacteria away]

It is such a good opportunity for us to go on this trip. Stay tune for our next fieldtrip/training. Ending this with our group photo, see you next week :)

New batch of students coming in!!

on Tuesday, July 3, 2012
On 2nd July, Monday, it marks the start of a new beginning for the new batch of MSC studio and Cheers students. After discussing, we planned out an afternoon filled with few games and activities for the new batch of students to mix around and bond with each other.

Some of the games includes ping pong game,  fishing marshmallow game, oreo game, human scrabble game, charades and counting down game.

For ping pong ball game, we have setted up a few cups on the table and secured it with masking tape. Students are suppose to bounce or throw the ping pong ball in to the cups. The group which scored the most ping pong balls wins!

For fishing marshmallow game, students have to go up the forth level and hang the marshmallow down while the students on  the third level, who is blind folded, will try to eat the dangling marshmallow via instructions given by group mates.

For oreo game, students has to lie down on their backs. An oreo biscuit will be placed on their forehead and they will have to try to get the oreo biscuit into their mouth without using their hands.

For human scrabble game, there will be an alphabet on each student's back. The students are not suppose to tell each other what alphabet they have on each others back. They are to make gestures and use body language to form as many words as they can.

For charades, a word will be given to one student. The student is suppose to hint the rest what the word is using body language. The group with the most words within the period of time wins!

For counting down game, group members have to face the wall and count to 80, not knowing when the next person would scream the next number. The game is to test out their teamwork and leadership.

The students enjoyed the games and there are prizes for the top 3 winners!! Here are some group of students who won!!!
