Samsung Window Contest

Samsung Window Contest has officially ended!
Samsung Window contest took place from 2 Nov to 14 Nov 2013. It is a contest in preparation beforehand by the Marketing students and with the assist of our teachers-in-charge. From 2nd Nov to 8th Nov 2013, we prepared a booth beside the Samsung Window Display for a week to create awareness of this Samsung Window Display Contest.

After 8th Nov 13, without a booth, Samsung contest forms were placed on a small round table beside the Samsung Window Display and in addition, there were also standee poster to explain the rules of the contest and how to participate in it. On the other hand, on our social media platforms, we had update posts on our Facebook page to encourage people to join our contest.

Below are some of the terms and conditions of this contest:
1.    All students and staff are welcomed to participate this contest, except S1R1 and S1R2 MSC students.
2.    One entry for each person and repeated entries will be disqualified.

To join the Samsung Window Display Contest, participants simply have to answer 6 questions stated on the Samsung Contest Form, and answers to these questions can be found inside the Samsung Window Display. After answering the 6 questions, they will drop the contest form into our Samsung Contest Box, which we (Ops Marketing) will separate the correct and incorrect answers. We will invite an unrelated MSC teacher to help us draw 5 sets of winners to each win themselves $50 Takashimaya shopping vouchers.

The following questions are:
1.    How many times does the word “SAMSUNG” appear in the window?
2.    Can you find another term for 4G?
3.    What is the time at the park?
4.    Although Samsung is a Korean brand, “JAPAN” appears in the window. Where?
5.    Which city is the park located?
6.    How many stylus are there in the window?

In overall, although there are only 6 questions to answer, these 6 questions came with some trickiness and require detailed observance. It took each participant an average of 10 minutes to answer all the 6 questions, based on our observation during the week when the booth took place.

The contest officially ended on 14 Nov, 5pm.
After checking all the entries for a thorough second time, we had concluded a total of 197 contest forms collected and there were 7 correct entries. A lucky draw was conducted on 15 Nov, and 5 lucky winners are drawn by our invited teacher, Ms. Yong.

The following 5 winners were then announced on our Facebook Page, MSC Studio & Cheers.
